WALTHAM, MA - The Endicott College women's volleyball team wrapped up its regular season schedule by posting a 1-1 record in the final day of the Brandeis Judges Classic on Saturday.

The Gulls defeated rivals Gordon College in a potential CCC Championship preview, winning 30-20, 31-29 and 30-23 for the three game sweep. After winning the first game EC was down 29-22 before Katelyn Smith (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) served eight straight points leading the Gulls to the 31-29 win.

Along with Smith's service run Endicott got strong play from Sarah Moore (Guilford, CT/Guilford) who had 14 kills, Hayley Janelle had 11 kills and seven blocks while Meghan Hall (Santa Cruz, CA/Aptos) added 33 assists, four aces and 23 digs. All Tournament selection Brittany Nolan (Monroe, CT/Masuk) also had 23 digs.

The win over Gordon put the Gulls into the tournament final against Brandeis. Unfortunately eight kill efforts from Moore and Janelle as well 15 digs from Nolan and Hall's 26 assists, three aces and 12 digs would not be enough as EC lost to the Judges in three games.

Endicott finished the two day tournament at 3-1 and finished second overall. The Gulls wrapped up the regular season at 22-12 and 9-0 in the CCC. EC has secured home court through out the CCC Tournament and will host a first round match up with the Wentworth Institute of Technology Tuesday October 31 at 7:00pm.
