Gulls Fall in NCAA Debut

Williamstown, MA - Endicott College, making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament, suffered a first round loss to Emmanuel College tonight 1-3 (23-30, 30-27, 20-30, 24-30). The Gulls finish the 2004 campaign with an overall record of 29-7.

The Gulls were led offensively by Killeen Ross and Sara Moore who each contributed 13 kills. Meghan Hall picked up another double-double with 38 assists and 14 digs. Katie Lorinovich picked up a team high 20 digs and Ross was also in double digits with 12.

Tonight's contest was the final match for 5 players who will be graduating this spring. Susan Teta, Morgan Tranquist, Katie Lorinovich, Krystan Sylva and Kristen Altieri all wrapped up their successful careers tonight. Thanks to the commitment they have shown they are leaving a program which set school records this season for win's (29), win streak (22) and winning percentage (.806). The team also went undefeated at home and in the CCC while claiming their first CCC Championship and making their first NCAA Tournament Appearance.

We would also like to THANK all of their parents for the support they have shown following the team all over New England this season! Their support helped make the season something special and we appreciate all they have seen us through.
