Waltham, MA - On day one of the Brandeis Invitational, the Gulls picked up a couple of nonconference wins with all 12 players seeing action in both matches. In the first match, the Gulls defeated Newbury 3-0 (30-16, 30-9, 30-17) and in the nightcap they defeated St. Joe's (ME) 3-0 (30-12, 30-16, 30-14).

Against Newbury, Meghan Hall set a new school record for Aces in a three game match with 10 while also contributing 29 assists. Morgan Tranquist and Patty Mikan contributed 9 and 8 kills respectively and Sara Moore led the team with 4 blocks.

In the St. Joe's match, the team hit an impressive .493% combining for 40 kills with only 5 errors in 71 attempts. Middles, Moore and Susan Teta combined for 20 kills while Hall dished out 30 assists. Killeen Ross picked up a team high 11 digs while also ripping off 4 aces.

On Saturday, EC will face Plymouth State, for the third time this season, at Noon followed immediately by Eastern Conn. State Univ. at 2 PM. These will conclude the Gulls regular season schedule and prepare them for the CCC Playoffs starting on Tuesday.
