Gulls Rally to Defeat RIC 3-2

Oct. 21, 2004

Stats

Providence, RI - The Gulls extended their win streak to 21 straight and set a new program records for wins in a season with 22 but it was not easy. RIC was playing terrific net defense and gave the Endicott offense all the challenge they wanted. After falling behind the Anchorwomen with 25-30 and 29-31 losses the team rallied behind the offense of Killeen Ross and Morgan Tranquist and the defense of Katie Lorinovich to win the next three 30-24, 30-25 and 15-13.

It took several record-breaking performances from EC to get the job done in the tight 5-game match tonight. The team set records for kills in match with 68 and their 14-block performance was good enough to tie them for second in the books. Individually, Killeen Ross set the new record for kills in a match with 23 and Meghan Hall in assists with 53. Other contributions were Susan Teta, Sara Moore and Tranquist 17 blocks and Katie Lorinovich's 26 digs in the effort.

The Gulls will return home this Saturday for a 2:00 PM match with the Camels of Conn College. This is a schedule change from the trimatch which was originally scheduled. Prior to the match the team will be taking time for their Senior Day Festivities.

Go Gulls!!
