Brunswick, ME - In a lengthy, 3-game match the Gulls defeated the Polar Bears of Bowdoin College 3-0 extending their win streak to 17 straight matches. After a back and forth first game, which EC won 31-29, the Gulls were forced to rally from a 19-26 deficit to win game 2, 32-30. Game 3 saw EC jump out to an early lead, which they were able to hold on to and close out the match 30-21.

EC had two players with double doubles tonight. Killeen Ross had 10 kills and 12 digs while Meghan Hall handed out 34 assist and picked up a team leading 18 digs. Morgan Tranquist and Sara Moore each added 11 kills to the effort while Katie Lorinovich added 17 digs. Patty Mikan added some solid serving to keep Bowdoin off balance and Susan Teta had 5 blocks.

The Gulls, who have played their last 8 matches on the road, will return home this weekend for a trimatch at the Post Center. At 11 AM, EC will host a family reunion of sorts, as the Gulls Katie Lorinovich will be competing against her sister Amy's Western New England Golden Bears. EC will then take a break as WNEC and Wheaton compete before returning to action at 3:00 PM to face Wheaton.
