Endicott Sweeps Roger Williams to Remain Undefeated in CCC Play

Beverly, MA -- In their second CCC match of the day, the Gulls got out of the gates a little slow but rebounded well to defeat RWU 3-0 (30-26, 30-24, 30-21). Endicott improves to 10-4 overall and 4-0 in CCC play while RWU drops to 13-3 and 2-2 in the CCC. The Gulls, winners of nine straight, now have the opportunity to tie the school record for consecutive wins (10) set during the 1999 campaign.

For the Gulls, Patty Mikan continued her stellar play leading EC with 11 kills and 3 aces. Also playing well offensively were middles Susan Teta and Sara Moore who combined for 19 kills. Meghan Hall picked up 39 assists in the match while Katie Lorinovich and Killeen Ross picked up 18 kills between them.

Offensively, RWU was paced by Amy Maurer who led the Hawks with 11 kills. Defensively, Ashley O'Keefe took care of the backcourt picking up 21 digs.

The Gulls will return to action on Wednesday as CCC play continues. The Gulls will be making their first trip to Salve Regina for a 7:00 PM match. RWU will take the week to prepare for the Tufts Invitational next weekend.
