Gulls Finish Chicago Trip with a Pair of Losses

The Gulls went 0-2 on the final day of competition at the Dominican Invitational dropping a pair of 0-3 losses to Illinois Institute of Technology and Wheaton College (IL).

In the opening match of the day, Endicott faced one of the toughest opponents the Gulls will see this season in NAIA opponent IIT. Sara Moore continued to play well at the net contributing 6 kills and 3 blocks while Killeen Ross had 4 kills and 10 digs. Katie Lorinovich again led the team with 18 digs while Krystan Sylva had 13 assists.





I think the team learned some valuable lessons on the trip, which will pay dividends for us later this season. We had the chance to face some quality opponents on this trip and we found that we could compete with all of them.

The second match of the day saw the Gulls drop another very competitive match to Wheaton (IL). Morgan Tranquist had her first double digit kill performance of the season with 11 and Killeen Ross contributed 9 kill to the effort. Meghan Hall dished out 29 assists in addition to 14 digs and one block. Katie Lorinovich led the team again with 17 digs.

The team will now return to New England prepared for the challenges to come. The Gulls will kick off their home schedule on Thursday at 7 PM, as they will host cross-town rival Salem State College.
