Women’s Track & Field Shines At Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Endicott women's track and field team put together a dominant performance at the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday evening as the Gulls posted 15 top-10 finishes and several school records in just their second meet of the season.

Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine) headlined the squad with a school record toss of 40-feet and 9.50-inches in the shot put to top 26 other student-athletes in the event. D'Angelo's heave currently ranks fifth in New England and No. 64 nationally.

Meanwhile, Jordan Williams (Boxford, Mass.) also stood out for the Gulls as the freshman sprinter placed second overall in the 60-meter dash (8.13, school record) and fourth in the 200-meter dash (27.69). Williams also teamed up with Alexa Flewelling (Peabody, Mass.), Gabrielle Morton (Peabody, Mass.), and Hevyn Pray (Rehoboth, Mass.) for a third place finish in the 4x200-meter relay (1:56.90, school record).

TOP QUOTE

"Today was a great opportunity for the entire team to get out there and compete against some strong competition," said Endicott women's track and field head coach Spencer Lange. "After a few weeks of training, it was nice to mix it up and evaluate our fitness. I am very proud of how they handled themselves after the limited time of training that we've had. They're a fun group who work hard, so to see them build more confidence together makes for a successful day. We couldn't be more excited to get back to work and keep things moving."
