BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott women's track and field student-athletes Emma Farrington (Essex Junction, Vt.) and Giana Nekitopoulos (West Springfield, Mass.) have been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Track Athlete of the Week and Track/Field Rookie of the Week, respectively, as announced by the league earlier today.
Last weekend, Farrington placed fifth overall and qualified for NCAA Regionals in the 3K steeplechase at the Snowflake Classic hosted by Tufts. She finished with a time of 12:13.76 besting the qualifying standard by nearly two seconds. It was Farrington's first time competing in the event and she currently ranks first among all CCC competitors and fifth in the region.
Meanwhile, Nekitopoulos set a school record in the triple jump this past weekend. Her record-setting mark was 9.87 meters (32' 4.25"), which placed her eighth at the meet. She also ranked 20th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.67.

Endicott returns to action on Friday, April 5 at the Regis College Spring Classic in Weston, Massachusetts.
