MEDFORD, Mass. — The Endicott women's track and field team saw two student-athletes qualify for NCAA Regionals and several school records fall on Saturday at the Snowflake Classic, hosted by Tufts University.
Emma Farrington (Essex Junction, Vt.) and Jenna Raffael (North Reading, Mass.) headlined the Gulls' efforts with NCAA Regional qualifying performances in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 100-meter hurdles, respectively.
Farrington placed fifth in the 3k steeplechase with a school record time of 12:13.76. Farrington's time was nearly two seconds faster than the qualifying standard (12:15.00) and almost nine seconds better than the event's sixth place finisher.
Meanwhile, Raffael ranked 10th in the 100-meter hurdles in a school record time 16.35-seconds. Raffael shattered the school record by more than a second (previous time, 17.54). Raffael also posted a school record in the javelin with a distance of 89-feet and 2-inches for 20th place overall.

"We had a great debut at Tufts yesterday. Emma [Farrington] and Jenna [Raffael] led the way with the qualifications for NCAA Regionals and behind them were several school records and strong debuts from the freshman class," said Endicott women's track and field head coach Spencer Lange. "The 4x100 relay and Nicole [D'Angelo] also scored points for us through their events. It was a step in the right direction and should give them the confidence they need to continue their development over the next several weeks."
OTHER ENDICOTT HIGHLIGHTS
- Gabrielle Rabito (Woburn, Mass.) led eight Gulls in the 3,000-meter run with a school record time of 11:49.92 for 13th place overall. The previous school record was 12:12.42.
- Giana Nekitopoulos (West Springfield, Mass.) finished eighth in the triple jump with a school record mark of 32-feet and 4.75-inches. Nekitopoulos also ranked 20th in the 100-meter hurdles (17.67).
- Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine) was sixth in the shot put via a school record toss of 36-feet and 4.25-inches.
- Julianne Sullivan (Wrentham, Mass.) came in 22nd place in the 100-meter dash with a school record time of 13.70-seconds.
- Endicott's 4x100-meter relay team consisting of Jamie Budge (Old Tappan, N.J.), Arianna Moffatt (Essex, Vt.), Gabrielle Morton (Peabody, Mass.), and Taylor Papa (Tolland, Conn.) placed ninth overall in a school record time of 54.24.
- Budge also came in 16th in the 100-meter hurdles (17.54), while Morton led a group of eight Gulls in the 200-meter dash (29.18).
- Kelsey Hunter (Simi Valley, Calif.) was 27th overall in the long jump (13-4.75) and 18th overall in the triple jump (30-9).
- Taylor Jordan (Saco, Maine) ranked 22nd overall in the discus (81-06).
- Olivia Folkes (Amston, Conn.) came in 27th place in the 400-meter dash (1:04.01).
- Kaitlyn Callahan (Gilford, N.H.) checked in at 52nd overall in the 800-meter run (2:50.71).
- Amelia Castelli (Scituate, R.I.) placed 18th overall in the 400-meter hurdles (1:15.61).
- As a team, Endicott finished in 17th place out of 20 teams.

Endicott returns to action on Friday, April 5 at the Regis College Spring Classic in Weston, Massachusetts.
