BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's tennis student-athlete Caroline Sutliffe (Duxbury, Mass.) was named the Conference of New England (CNE) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Sutliffe produced a 3-0 record on the week in matches against D1 Holy Cross (L, 4-3) and Suffolk (W, 7-0).
Against Holy Cross, Sutliffe helped the Gulls to a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles and earned a hard-fought 1-6, 6-3, 10-7 win at No. 4 singles.
She backed up that performance with a 7-6 (1-0), 6-1 triumph at No. 1 singles versus Suffolk on Saturday.
This is the first CNE Rookie of the Week Award for Sutliffe.
