Women’s Tennis Claims ITA Academic Awards

SCHOLAR-ATHLETES LIST | ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS LIST

BEVERLY, Mass. The Endicott women's tennis program received its 10th consecutive Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team award for its efforts in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year.

Additionally, Kaitlin Fitzgibbons (Nashua, N.H.), Lejla Guster (Wethersfield, Conn.), Samantha Hartmann (Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.), Shelby Henry (Lincoln, Neb.), Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.), Olivia Martinelli (Coral Springs, Fla.), Isabela Miani (Southington, Conn.), Ana Mar Molina (Sachse, Texas), and Ripley Uyeda (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) all earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
  • All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
  • All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
  • Be listed on the institutional eligibility form

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott (14-8, 7-0 CCC) claimed its third CCC Championship in a row, and ninth in program history, with a 5-0 win over Nichols at home on October 22, 2022. In the NCAA Tournament, the Gulls defeated Farmingdale State, 5-0, in the first round before falling to No. 9 nationally ranked Babson by an identical score.
