Women’s Tennis Takes Care Of Gordon, 7-2

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team earned a 7-2 conference victory over Gordon College on Tuesday evening at the South Campus Tennis Courts.

Justine Hoover (Wallingford, Conn.), Gretta Hartman (Glastonbury, Conn.), Cara McCormack (Worcester, Mass.), and Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.) were all double-winners for the Gulls, while Olivia Berler (Marstons Mills, Mass.) claimed a 6-3, 6-2 triumph at No. 4 singles to round out the list of highlights.

In doubles, Hoover and Hartman posted an 8-0 victory at No. 1, while McCormack and Keaveney notched an 8-1 triumph at No. 3. Hoover went on to claim a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, while Hartman (6-2, 6-2), McCormack (7-6 (7-4), 6-3), and Keaveney (6-0, 6-1) registered victories at No. 2, No. 3, and No. 5, respectively.

"Our ladies are focused and starting to round into form as we head into postseason play," said Endicott women's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "If we don't get distracted and stay focused, we will be dangerous.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (9-3, 5-2 CCC) travels to Eastern Nazarene tomorrow for a non-conference matchup at 3:30 PM. Gordon (6-6, 4-3 CCC) will compete in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament (NEWITT) from October 11-13.
