Women’s Tennis Shuts Out Wentworth, 9-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team blanked Wentworth, 9-0, in conference action on Saturday afternoon at the South Campus Tennis Courts.

In doubles action, the Gulls saw the No. 1 pairing of Gretta Hartman (Glastonbury, Conn.)/Justine Hoover (Wallingford, Conn.) and the No. 2 pairing of Cameron Foley (Lynnfield, Mass.)/Olivia Berler (Marstons Mills, Mass.) earn identical 8-3 victories at their respective flights.

Meanwhile, Cara McCormack (Worcester, Mass.) and Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.) picked up an 8-0 triumph at No. 3 to complete the sweep of doubles.

Singles action saw more of the same results as Hoover (6-3, 6-3), Hartman (6-0, 6-1), Berler (6-0, 6-1), Keaveney (6-0, 6-0), Jennifer Stone (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) – 6-1, 6-2 – and Clare O'Keefe (Lutz, Fla.) – 6-0, 6-1 – made quick work of the Leopards to improve to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play.

Endicott (6-3, 3-2 CCC) hosts crosstown rival Gordon College on Wednesday, October 2 at 3:30 PM. Wentworth (3-6, 1-4 CCC) takes on Salve Regina next Wednesday in Watertown, Mass. at 7 PM.
