BRISTOL, R.I. - The Endicott women's soccer team traveld south to take on Roger Williams in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) match today and the two sides played to a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes of play. For the Gulls, their record now moves to 8-3-4 overall and 2-1-3 in CCC play, while the Hawks move to 5-8-3 overall and 2-2-2 in CCC play.
The two teams would play a scoreless opening frame, with key statistics being balanced across the board. Shots would favor Roger Williams, 6-4 in the first half, with Endicott holding a 5-2 edge in saves, and a 3-0 edge in corners.
The second half would see the hosts strike quick, scoring 2:31 into the period, before Endicott evened the score at 1-1 in the 61st minute. The Gulls scored when Lindsey Papa (Tolland, Conn.) scored her second of the season at the 60:21 mark. After Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.) made a cross from the left win, Alexandria Dostie (Essex Junction, Vt.) fired a one-timer that was blocked. The rebound went straight to the foot of Papa and the senior slotted it into the lower right corner with her left foot.
Despite Endicott continuing to attack throughout the second half, the score would end at 1-1 for the draw. At the end of the second, the Gulls held a 14-2 advantage in shots, for an 18-8 edge in the match, including an 8-6 advantage in shots on goal. The Gulls would also earn a total of 10 corners to just one for the Hawks.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Senior keeper Jacqueline Ruggiero (Dedham, Mass.) finished the match with five saves on six shots, putting her record at 6-2-3.
- After the draw, Endicott is now 17-11-7 all-time against Roger Williams, as the two teams have gone 1-1-3 in the last five meetings in the series
- Ella Morgan (Salem, Mass.) led all players with five shots, and three shots on goal.

Endicott (8-3-4, 2-1-3 CCC) travel to Curry on Wednesday for a 4:00 PM start in CCC play. Roger Williams (5-8-3, 2-2-2 CCC) plays host to Fitchburg St. on Monday in non-conference action at 7:00 PM.
