BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's soccer team will open up the 2022 season tonight on the road against the Lasers of Lasell at 4:30 PM. Here's a preview of the upcoming season.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Endicott was selected as the preseason favorite in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Head Coach Jodi Kenyon enters her 18th year at the helm of the program. During her tenure, the women have won at a .696 clip overall after posting a record of 218-86-33, while they have dominated Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) competition at an even higher clip, going 134-23-7 for a win percentage of .838. The success has culminated in five CCC Championships for the program during her tenure.
- Olivia Johnson (Whitman, Mass.) and Jacqueline Ruggiero (Dedham, Mass.) were chosen as captains for the 2022 campaign.
- Reigning CCC Rookie of the Year, Riley Rischitelli (North Brookfield, Mass.), returns as the team's leading scorer from 2021, after having posted seven goals and four assists for 18 points.
- Endicott returns a significant portion of the defensive unit that posted a league-best mark of four goals against in nine CCC contests in 2021.
