Women’s Soccer Blanks Babson, 2-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's soccer team shut out Babson College, 2-0, on Tuesday night in non-conference action at Hempstead Stadium.

Jillian Presser (Trumbull, Conn.) gave the Gulls a quick 1-0 advantage in the 16th minute when she one-touched a pass from Jaymie Caponigro (Swampscott, Mass.) in the center of the box and blasted a shot into the upper-right-90 for her first goal of the season (fourth career).

Hannah Lederman (Natick, Mass.) was also credited with an assist on the tally as she initiated the scoring by feeding Caponigro at the top-right corner of the box prior to Caponigro's slot found Presser wide-open in the box.

From there, Endicott goalkeeper Kayla Wentworth (Taunton, Mass.) stopped all four tests thrown her way (10 shots total), while Hannah Pesci (Windham, N.H.) buried the all-important insurance goal at 88:35 to lock up the win.
