Papa’s Game-Winner Pushes Women’s Soccer Past Ithaca In Overtime, 2-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott freshman forward Lindsey Papa (Tolland, Conn.) scored in the 96th minute to lift the Endicott women's soccer team to a 2-1 overtime victory against Ithaca on Friday evening at Hempstead Stadium.

Papa netted the game-winner by lofting a shot into the top-right corner of the net from about 20 yards out after it took a high hop off the turf. Christina Bacon (Lincoln, R.I.) set up the game-winning tally with a header pass from just outside the corner of the box.

Meanwhile, in the first half, Larissa Cade (Middlefield, Conn.) evened up the contest in the 18th minute off of feeds from Jaymie Caponigro (Swampscott, Mass.) and Hannah Pesci (Windham, N.H.).
