BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's soccer team erupted for five goals on Saturday afternoon as they eased past Salve Regina, 5-0.

With the win, Endicott improves to 2-3-3 overall and 1-0-1 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play, while Salve Regina falls to 3-3-0 overall and 1-1-0 in CCC play.

The Gulls' five goals were all scored by different student-athletes with three coming in the first and two in the second. The scoring got underway in the 12th minute when Sharlotte Pernice (West Springfield, Mass.) received a cross from Catherine Elkas (Holden, Mass.) and buried it past Salve's Carly Pala (Milford, Conn.). The goal was Pernice's third of the season, while the assist was Elkas' third as well.

Hannah Pesci (Windham, N.H.) then added to the lead just over five minutes later when Delaney Caggiano (Bristol, Conn.) placed a cross into the box that Pesci was able to toe-poke past Pala for the 2-0 edge.

Larissa Cade (Middlefield, Conn.) potted the third goal of the half in the 27th minute when Mary Verneris (Hamden, Conn.) found Cade in the middle of the box. Cade was able to quickly get off a shot to the lower left corner to give Endicott a 3-0 lead that would hold true through halftime.

Endicott didn't wait too long to get the scoring underway yet again as Gabriella Prisco (West Haven, Conn.) placed her shot right inside the right post off a perfect through pass from Pernice. The scoring would end in the 68th minute when freshman Hannah Lejeune (Danvers, Mass.) made a long run and scored her first collegiate goal to lock up the 5-0 Endicott win.
