Armbruster Named CCC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player Of The Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Endicott sophomore goalkeeper Caroline Armbruster (Stowe, Vt.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week.

In games from October 12-18 last week, Armbruster posted 13 saves and turned in a 0.00 goals against average (GAA) to lead the Gulls to a 1-0-1 week overall. In a double-overtime tie against Tufts, she collected a career-high 11 saves. Armbruster also stopped two shots in a 2-0 win over WNE, extending her shutout streak to three straight.

Armbruster is currently 6-2-2 overall in goal for the Gulls this season with 48 saves, a 0.89 GAA, and a .842 save percentage in 11 games played (10 starts).

Endicott (7-5-2, 4-1-1 CCC) gets to stay home for two of its three remaining regular season contests, beginning on Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. match against Wentworth. The Gulls then travel to Salve Regina on Saturday for a 12:00 p.m. match before returning home on Tuesday, October 27th to close out the regular season with a home match against bitter cross-town and CCC rival Gordon at 4:00 p.m.
