SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Endicott women's soccer will compete in the 2014 CCC Tournament as the #2 seed as it was announced by league commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Tuesday evening. With the regular season conference schedule in the books, the Gulls will enter their CCC Quarterfinal match on Saturday, November 1st against #7 Wentworth with a 10-4-4 (6-2-1 CCC) record.

Saturday's CCC Quarterfinal will be a home match for the Gulls, taking place on Saturday at a time to be announced. The time of the match will depending on the seeding and schedule of the CCC Men's Soccer Tournament which will be finalized on Wednesday.

The Wentworth Leopards (8-8-2, 3-5-1 CCC) will be playing Endicott for the third straight year in the conference playoffs after previously meeting in the 2012 CCC Quarterfinals (EC 0, WIT 0 – EC won shootout 3-1) and the 2013 CCC Semifinals (EC 1, WIT 0 2OT). The regular season contest between these two squads occurred just three days ago and resulted in a 2-0 win for the Gulls as Endicott battled Wentworth deep into the second half until registering back-to-back strikes in the 83rd and 86th minute by sophomore forward Shelby McLenithan (Bennington, Vt.).

Despite a loss in their final regular season game Endicott had a strong October, going 5-2-2 including five wins in six conference matchups to help secure the #2 seed in the CCC Tournament. Wentworth has played well down the stretch by playing the league's top seed, Roger Williams, to a 2-1 loss, giving up two late second half goals to Endicott, and shutting out Nichols 4-0 in their final game of the regular season.
