BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College’s \#Christine Silva\# (Stoneham, Mass.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week, as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Monday. Silva and the Gulls posted a pair of 1-0 wins over Wentworth and Nichols last week.
\#Christine Silva\# assisted on the game-winner against Nichols College in the 76th minute on Saturday afternoon. The speedy defenseman lofted a pass over a Bison defender to junior \#Karyn Plante\# (Sanford, Maine), who buried a shot from eight feet out to give the Gulls a 1-0 victory. The assist was the first of Silva’s collegiate career.
The Gulls, who stand at 7-4 overall, get back to work on Tuesday when the Blue and Green travel to Newport, R.I. to meet Salve Regina University for a 4:00 p.m. game with the Seahawks.
