Endicott Wins Third Straight CCC Contest

BRISTOL, RI -- Endicott went on the road to win their third straight Commonwealth Coast Conference match with a 2-1 victory over Roger Williams University Saturday in Bristol, Rhode Island.

The Gulls, who improved to 3-2-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the CCC have allowed just one goal in conference play this year. The Hawks fell to 3-4-0 (1-1-0 CCC).

Sophomore Paula McGinn (Lynn, MA/Lynn Classical) had the Gulls' first goal from junior forward Caitlin D'Amario (East Longmeadow, MA/East Longmeadow) ten minutes into game. Endicott doubled the score on a D'Amario's 30-yard strike which proved to be the game-winner in 63rd minute of action.

Roger Williams got onto the board two minutes later on a Caitlin Mayo (Merrimack, NH) goal but the visitors received strong play from junior Staci Wiencko (Pembroke, MA/Notre Dame Academy), who anchored the defense.

D'Amario played a solid game for the Gulls, return to action at home against conference opponent Regis College Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
