Women's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Ethics Award

Beverly, MA--As a result of their continued fair play during the 2003 season, the EC women's soccer teamed earned an NSCAA Team Ethics Award. In the second to last game, EC received a caution, as a result of a foul. That was the only yellow card the team was given throughout the entire season. The women were one of thirty teams to earn the Silver Award.

A total of 43 teams in intercollegiate soccer received the award. Six programs received the Gold Award, which is presented to teams that went through the entire season without receiving either a yellow card (caution) or red card (send-off). Thirty teams were presented the Silver Award, which goes to a program that had no send-offs and a maximum of five cautions. Seven more teams earned the Bronze Award, which means they did not have a send-off and had 10 or fewer cautions shown during the season.
