Carly Baker enters her sixth season as head coach of the women's rugby program in 2023-24.

During Baker's tenure as head coach, the Gulls have captured the 2019 and 2021 CCRC 15s Championships, the 2019 and 2022 CCRC 7s Championship, the 2019 Northeast Regional Title, the 2019 NEC7C Championship, and placed third at the 2019 NSCRO National Championship.

Baker also has coached the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Select Side 7s Tournament which featured D1, D2, and D3 teams. 

Academically, Baker's teams have produced a 3.52 combined cumulative grade point average (GPA) since her arrival.

Baker, who spent 2017-18, as an assistant coach with the program, grew up in Beverly, Mass. before attending Colby-Sawyer College where she received her bachelor's degree in sport management with a certification in coaching.

While at Colby-Sawyer College, she was captain and president of the women's rugby team where she played fly half. She also was a four-year member of the women's lacrosse program and finished her career ninth all-time in assists. Along with her playing experience, Baker has coached both lacrosse and soccer at the youth and collegiate level.
