BEVERLY, Mass. — For the first time in program history, Endicott was voted No. 1 in the final National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Small College Top 20 Coaches Poll after defeating Lee University, 24-12, in the national championship game.
The road to winning the NCR Small College National Championship also included victories over No. 8 Salve Regina (CCRC Championship, 71-7), No. 13 Colby (NCR Regionals, 27-14), No. 1 Cortland (NCR Regionals Championship, 31-27), and No. 2 Northern Michigan (NCR National Semifinals, 24-12).
Endicott dominated its competition all season long outscoring opponents 447-96 (three shutouts) en route to a perfect 10-0 overall record.
