Women’s Rugby Downs Lee University In NSCRO National Semifinals, 31-10

MARIETTA, Ga. – The Endicott club women's rugby team defeated Lee University, 31-10, on Saturday evening in the semifinal round of the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) 15s National Championships, hosted by Life University.

Shannon O'Malley (Lewiston, Maine) paced the Gulls with two tries, while Amanda Wisbeck (Hong Kong, China), Amanda Poulin (Turner, Maine), and Natalie Shambo (Hopkinton, Mass.) notched one apiece in the win.

Kelsey Joyce (Wharton, N.J.) also registered two conversions and Nicole McCardle (Castleton, Vt.) had one to round out the list of offensive highlights for Endicott.

Meanwhile, on the defensive end, Laura Stump (Lynnwood, Wash.) was named the "Women of the Match" for her outstanding efforts that aided the Gulls in holding Lee University to just 10 points.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (11-0) will play Wayne State College for the national championship tomorrow at 1 PM. Wayne State enters tomorrow's match as the defending NSCRO 15s National Champion.
