SENIOR SEND-OFF: Endicott Women's Rugby Program

(The goal of our Senior Send-Off articles is to highlight teams and student-athletes who did not get to finish their season of competition and/or have their respective Senior Day games/events happen. We also hope that these stories, which will feature some non-student-athletes, serve as a positive light to anyone who reads them during these trying times.)

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's rugby team posted a 13-7-1 record, which included a trip to the NSCRO Women's 15s National Championship, before their NEC7C's slate was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Gulls were led by two seniors Nicole McCardle (Castleton, Vt.), and Haley Goff (Manchester, N.H.). These two seniors made two appearances in National Championship competitions as well as leading Endicott to one CCRC championship, one NEC7C title, and one Northeast Regional championship.

Here is what head coach Carly Baker had to say about the two seniors.

"Haley and Nicole have helped raise the bar for Endicott women's rugby. They have been a pleasure to not only watch, but also coach. Both student-athletes' will to win was evident every time they stepped onto the field which then positively impacted all of us. This led to three straight championships."
