Carly Baker Named Endicott Women's Rugby Head Coach

The women's rugby team huddles up after a win.

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott Athletics and Recreation Department has announced the hiring of Carly Baker (Beverly, Mass.) as the new club women's rugby head coach for the 2018-19 academic year.

Last season, Baker served as the Gulls' assistant coach and helped guide Endicott to a 25-12-1 overall record. Baker will look to continue the success the women's rugby program has had over the last few seasons in her new role.

A 2015 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College with a bachelor's degree in sport management and a coaching certification, Baker was captain and president of the women's rugby team where she played fly half. She also was a four-year member of the women's lacrosse program and finished her career ninth all-time in assists. Along with her playing experience, Baker has coached both lacrosse and soccer at the youth and collegiate level.

Outside of her coaching duties, Baker has worked for the Beverly Athletic Club, New London Outing Club and the Hogan Sports Center.
