Gulls Earn IWLCA Academic Honor Squad Accolades; School Record Nine Student-Athletes Claim Individual Honors

IWLCA ACADEMIC HONOR SQUADS LIST | IWLCA ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL LIST

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's lacrosse program has earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Squad accolades for its efforts in the classroom during the 2018-19 academic year. Alongside their team academic award, the Gulls saw a program record nine student-athletes named to the IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll. Both awards were announced earlier today by the organization.

The nine student-athletes named to IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll were Nicole Anselmo (Natick, Mass.), Jaime Balboni (Billerica, Mass.), Ali Campbell (Lakeville, Mass.), Talia Dellatto (Andover, Mass.), Erin Gill (Winchester, Mass.), Jennifer Lacroix (Wrentham, Mass.), Aleah MacKay (Bedford, N.H.), Molly McMahon (Hanover, Mass.), and Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.).

In total, the IWLCA honored 653 student-athletes from 173 different institutions. To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

Out of all 173 institutions, Middlebury, The College of New Jersey, and Vassar led the way with 11 student-athletes apiece. Endicott, Misericordia, Springfield, and York (Pa.) all followed behind them on the list, respectively, with nine student-athletes each. Endicott's nine student-athletes honored also ranked first among all Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) institutions. 

Meanwhile, to be eligible for the IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Squad, the program must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

The IWLCA is a membership-led, professional association representing the nation's intercollegiate women's lacrosse coaches within Division I, II & III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
