NCAA TOURNAMENT: Endicott Set To Face Misericordia On Saturday (1 PM)

NCAA BRACKET

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team travels to York, Pa. for the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday, May 11 at 1 PM. The Gulls will face Misericordia  University on the campus of York College. 

THE MATCHUP

The Gulls and the Cougars are meeting for the first time in program history. 

HOW THEY GOT HERE

Endicott won its third straight Commonwealth Coast Conference title with an 11-10 overtime victory over Roger Williams to secure an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. (RECAP | BOX SCORE)

Misericordia claimed its first MAC Freedom Championship and NCAA Tournament berth with an 11-9 win over FDU-Florham to advance to this weekend's contest. (RECAP | BOX SCORE)

SCOUTING ENDICOTT

The Gulls led the CCC in goals per game (20.88) and goals against average (3.63) in conference-only games this season.

Individually, Endicott's top-three point-getters include Jennifer Lacroix (Wrentham, Mass.), Jackie Healy (Northborough, Mass.), and Maya Feigenbaum (West Hartford, Conn.). Lacroix leads the group with 67 points (53g, 14a), while Healy ranks second (26g, 23a), and Feigenbaum is positioned third (23g, 23a).

Senior goaltender, Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.), ranks 34th nationally in both GAA (8.63) and save percentage (.512). 

SCOUTING MISERICORDIA

The Cougars went 7-0 in MAC Freedom play this season and led their conference in goals per game (19.86) and points per game (29.71).

Kaila Quinlivan (Hauppauge, N.Y.) leads the team in points with 99 (63g, 36a), while Amy Roth (Mullica Hill, N.J.) ranks second (37g, 23a) and Justine Johnson (Vestal, N.Y.) is third (33g, 20a). 

In net, Maggie McGovern (Huntington, N.Y.) is 25th in the nation in GAA (8.32) and 55th in save percentage (.490). 

WHAT'S AT STAKE

The winner of Saturday's game will advance to face York on Sunday, May 12 at 1 PM.
