Endicott Defeats WNE, 24-4

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.  – The Endicott women's lacrosse team traveled to Western New England on Saturday afternoon and came away with a 24-4 victory. 

Endicott opened up the first eight minutes of play with four goals before Western New England was able to find the back of the net. 

The Gulls went on to a 13-3 lead at halftime. 

In the second half, the Endicott outscored the Golden Bears, 11-1 to secure the convincing win. 

Meghan Dutchyshyn (Cheshire, Conn.) led the way for the Gulls with five goals and two assists, while Jackie Healy (Northborough, Mass.) and Maya Feigenbaum (West Hartford, Conn.) each tallied three goals.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.) made six saves in net to improve to 9-4 on the season. 
  • Also notching goals for the Gulls were Aleah MacKay (Bedford, N.H.), Jennifer Lacroix (Wrentham, Mass.), Julia Lantieri (Glastonbury, Conn.), Morgan Pike (Shapleigh, Maine), Mollie Manning (Hull, Mass.), Nicole Anselmo (Natick, Mass.), Gabriella Prisco (West Haven, Conn.), Tori Hurley (Glastonbury, Conn.), Maggie Berger (Old Lyme, Conn.), and Alex Fitzgerald (Guilford, Conn.)
  • Eight different Endicott student-athletes earned assists throughout the contest. 
  • Feigenbaum had a team-high six draw controls, while Prisco was close behind with five. 
  • Kaitlyn Marchant (Londonderry, N.H.) recorded 11 saves for the Golden Bears. 
  • Reilly Miller (Goshen, N.Y.), Kaitlyn Hutter (Stamford, Conn.), Liz Mazza (East Longmeadow, Mass.), and Eileen Ruby (New Fairfield, Conn.) each had one goal. 

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (10-4, 6-0 CCC) travels to Bowdoin on Wednesday, April 17 at 7 PM. Western New England (7-7, 3-3 CCC) is at Elms for a 7 PM game on Monday, April 15.
