Gulls Defeat Huskies, 20-4

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Endicott women's lacrosse team defeated Southern Maine, 20-4, on Sunday morning at Phillip Jones Stadium on Sunday morning. 

The Gulls jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on tallies from Jennifer Lacroix (Wrentham, Mass.) and Jackie Healy (Northborough, Mass.) in the first five and a half minutes of play. By half time Endicott had extended that lead to 13-2. 

In the second half, the Gulls continued to pressure offensively which led to a convincing 20-4 victory. 

Leading Endicott offensively was Lacroix with five goals, while Maya Feigenbaum (West Hartford, Conn.) was close behind with three. 

Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.) got the start in net and made three saves in the first half to improve to 3-2 on the season. Annie Alofsin (Wakefield, R.I.) came in for the second half and recorded one save in her first collegiate appearance.

  • Also scoring for the Gulls were Nicole Anselmo (Natick, Mass.), Ali Campbell (York, Maine), Gabriella Prisco (West Haven, Conn.), Aleah MacKay (Bedford, N.H.), Meghan Dutchyshyn (Cheshire, Conn.), Mollie Manning (Hull, Mass.), Julia Lantieri (Glastonbury, Conn.), Maggie Berger (Old Lyme, Conn.), and Morgan Pike (Shapleigh, Maine)
  • Southern Maine saw two goals from Allison Irish (Lyman, Maine), while Aliza Jordan (Gorham, Maine) and Alex Farley (Buxton, Maine) each had one. 
  • Hala Van Nostrand (Granby, Conn.) recorded 10 saves for the Huskies before Mariah Vaillancourt (Lewiston, Maine) came in and made six saves during the remainder of the contest. 
  • The Gulls are now 11-0 all-time against Southern Maine. 

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (3-2) faces Springfield in Clearwater, Fla. on Tuesday, March 19 at 11:30 AM. Southern Maine (1-2) finishes out its Florida trip with a 10 AM game against Albright College on Tuesday, March 19.
