Women's Lacrosse Earns First Place In CCC Preseason Poll

The women's lacrosse team celebrates its CCC Championship at midfield.

2018 CCC PRESEASON COACHES' POLL RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) office has announced the women's lacrosse preseason coaches' poll and Endicott took the top spot.

The defending CCC Champions earned a total of 79 points and eight first-place votes. Roger Williams was close behind in second place with 70 points and one first-place vote.

The University of New England secured the third spot with 62 points, while Salve Regina slid into fourth place with 49 points. Western New England and Gordon earned fifth and sixth places with 44 points and 35 points, respectively. 

Rounding out the poll were Curry (31 points), Nichols (21 points), and Wentworth (14 points).

Endicott (14-5, 8-0 CCC in 2017) opens the 2018 season on the road at Wheaton (Mass.) on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.
