BEVERLY, MA - BEVERLY, MA - Endicott College relied on an eight-goal outburst in the first half to glide past Salve Regina University, 12-2, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference women's lacrosse opener Saturday afternoon.

The Gulls made it four straight wins in improving to 4-1 (1-0 CCC) while the Seahawks dipped to 2-3 (0-1 CCC) on the season.

After the two sides swapped goals to open the game - one by EC's Molly Moss (Yarmouth, ME/North Yarmouth Academy) and one from Salve's Melissa Garcia - the Gulls reeled off eight unanswered tallies to take command. Alex Pearce (Underhill, VT/Kimball Union Academy) and Susie Neikirk (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville) netted two goals apiece in the scoring outburst. Pearce also dished out two helpers while Neikirk assisted on one tally.

Cathy Sharp (Rutland, VT/Rutland) and Sara Gunter (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk) also scored two goals in the win, while Emily Judd (Peabody, MA/Peabody), Samantha Morin (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk), Heather Hatfield (Tyngsboro, MA/Tyngsboro) and Moss scored one goal each.

Erin Curry (Hampstead, NH/Gould Academy) and Molly Hamel (North Yarmouth, ME/Greely) combined to make 13 saves in between the pipes for Endicott.

The Gulls will travel to Western New England College Thursday afternoon (4) while the Seahawks hosts Pine Manor Wednesday afternoon.
