Title: Volunteer Assistant Coach

Vendela Jonsson enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Endicott women's hockey program in 2019-20.

Jonsson was a standout four-year goaltender for the Gulls. As a four-year starter, she compiled a record of 51-19-10, a .945 save percentage and 24 shutouts. During her career, Jonsson made a total of 1,917 saves in 80 games played. 

Jonsson's other individual accomplishments at Endicott include being named the 2015-16 Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) Co-Rookie of the Year, 2018-19 CHC Goaltender of the Year. In addition, she received CHC All-Rookie Team (2015-16), CHC All-Conference Second Team (2016-17), and CHC All-Conference First Team (2018-19) accolades. Jonsson was a member of the 2015-16 US College Hockey Organization All-Rookie Team and the 2018-19 New England Hockey Writer's Association All-Region Team.  

On top of these honors, Jonsson was named the Endicott Female Athlete of the Year for 2018-19. 

In the classroom, she was a three-time Dean's List recipient, and a member of the CHC All-Academic Team in 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19. She was also named an American Hockey Coaches Association Scholar in 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19.
