Women’s Ice Hockey Places 11 Student-Athletes On AHCA All-America Scholars List

AHCA RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Eleven student-athletes from the Endicott women's ice hockey program have earned American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-America Scholars honors.

Representing the Gulls on the list were Aurora Devereaux (Scituate, Mass.), Tabitha Franceschini (Brick, N.J.), Emmerson Hayes (Los Angelis, Calif.), Madison Hentosh (Peabody, Mass.), Kat Keith (Westwood, Mass.), Jacy Kuhlman (Seven Park, Md.), Michaela O'Brien (Pembroke, Mass.), Kellie Popkin (Walpole, Mass.), Morgan Sisson (Concord, N.H.), Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Maine), and Bailey Thieben (North Syracuse, N.Y.).

To qualify for the AHCA All-America Scholars list, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester
  • Appeared in 40% of the team's games (exceptions were granted to injured players and backup goaltenders)

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott captured the inaugural CCC Championship with a 2-1 win over the University of New England (UNE) on March 5.

The Gulls fell to eventual undefeated NCAA Division III Champion and No. 1 nationally ranked Middlebury, 4-0, on March 12 in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals.

Endicott concluded the 2021-22 season with a 19-5-1 overall record, a 15-2-1 mark in CCC play, and a No. 9 national ranking.
