Healy, O’Brien Earn CCC Weekly Awards

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott student-athletes Quin Healy (Melrose, Mass.) and Michaela O'Brien (Pembroke, Mass.) have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Healy was named the CCC Player of the Week, while O'Brien received CCC Goaltender of the Week accolades for their respective efforts in a 1-1-0 performance against the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the country last weekend as part of the Cardinal/Panther Classic.

Healy recorded two goals in a 4-3 overtime victory over No. 1 Plattsburgh on Saturday (Nov. 27), including the game-tying goal that sent the contest into overtime.

She then scored her fifth goal of the season in a 2-1 loss to No. 2 Middlebury in the championship game of the Cardinal/Panther Classic.

As for O'Brien, the junior goalie made a program record 56 saves on Saturday (Nov. 27) to guide the Gulls past Plattsburgh. It was the school's first-ever win over a nationally ranked opponent and its first-ever win over the No. 1 team in the country.

O'Brien followed that up with 34 saves against No. 2 Middlebury in the Cardinal/Panther Classic championship game.
