No. 10 Endicott Blanks Western New England, 5-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 10 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team shut out Western New England, 5-0, on Sunday night in conference action at the Olympia Ice Center.

Tied 0-0 in the second period, the Gulls scored three goals over the span of 2:10 and never looked back.

Kaylee Liberty (Arlington Heights, Ill.), Samantha Fantasia (Billerica, Mass.), and Sydney Fascetta (Dover, N.H.) all found the back of the net during the Gulls' offensive frenzy at 13:23 (PP), 14:41 (PP), and 15:33, respectively.

Meanwhile, Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Maine) and Jacy Kuhlman (Severna Park, Md.) both added goals in the third period (4:52, 8:47 — PP) for good measure.

In goal, Bailey Thieben (North Syracuse, N.Y.) turned away 24 shots to move to 2-1-0 on the year (5th career shutout).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 2-0-0 all-time against Western New England.
  • Endicott is 3-1-0 on the road this season.
  • Liberty netted her first goal of the 2021-22 campaign.
  • Fantasia and Fascetta potted their first collegiate goals.
