Sarina Joins Endicott Women’s Ice Hockey Program Through Team IMPACT

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team officially announced the newest member of its program on Friday, April 14 as 10-year-old Sarina (Georgetown, Mass.) joined the Gulls via her Team IMPACT Draft Day, which was held at Café Sarina, Garden Golf, and Kallie's Kones in Georgetown, Mass.

Sarina's draft day festivities included signing a National Letter of Intent (NLI) at the conclusion of a press conference with Endicott women's ice hockey head coach Andrew McPhee and her Gull teammates. After the press conference, members of the women's ice hockey team and Sarina enjoyed some laughs and ice cream.

"Sarina has been a great addition to our team. Her dedication, passion, and sense of humor are qualities that we value. We are excited that she has committed to our team for years to come," said McPhee.

Sarina loves all sports, but hockey is definitely one of her favorites. She has a competitive nature and enjoys playing sports with her friends at school and her family at home. Sarina always has multiple stuffed animals with her that she refers to as her "guys", including Woody and Jesse from Toy Story that go everywhere with her. Sarina also loves family movie night and ice cream. She has a great sense of humor and enjoys making her friends and family laugh.

"Adding Sarina to our team has brought positivity to a team that has faced much adversity this year. She gave us something to look forward to every time we had the chance to see her, and we are very excited to have her as a member of our Gull family," said junior forward Tabitha Franceschini (Brick, N.J.).

"Although this past season was not exactly what we expected, Sarina was able to overcome the adversity with dedication and positivity that reflected our team values. We are ecstatic to have Sarina join the flock and make it official today," said junior forward Jacy Kuhlman (Severna Park, Md.).

"We are beyond excited to welcome Sarina as the newest addition to our team! Her imagination and loving personality will be a huge asset to our team dynamic and her speed and strength will be a threat to our opponents on the ice. Congratulations to Sarina on officially becoming an Endicott Gull, we can't wait for the upcoming season with you," sophomore forward Morgan Sisson (Concord, N.H.).

"Although this year has not been ideal and interactions have been limited, our team has been able to create a relationship with Sarina and are super excited to continue to strengthen that relationship. It is no secret that Sarina epitomizes what it takes to be a key member of the team and her willingness to handle and overcome adversity is sure to make her an inspiration," said sophomore defenseman Madison Hentosh (Peabody, Mass.).
