Meier, Peterson, And McPhee Headline CHC All-Conference Honors

Women's Hockey All-Conference History | Colonial Hockey Conference Release 

BEVERLY, Mass. – A program record ten members of the No. 9 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team have received postseason honors from the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC), as announced by the league office earlier today.

Jade Meier (Fairbanks, Alaska), Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.) and head coach Andrew McPhee headlined the group of award winners. Meier was named Player of the Year, Peterson earned Goaltender of the Year honors, and McPhee received Coach of the Year laurels.

Endicott also saw Jillian Gibbs (Burlington Vt.), Madison Huber (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Meier, and Peterson named to the All-CHC First Team.

Furthermore, Michaela McNamara (Warwick, R.I.), Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Maine), and Lauren Ferraiuolo (North Haven, Conn.) earned All-CHC Second Team honors, while Kaylee Liberty (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and Madison Hentosh (Peabody, Mass.) were named to the CHC All-Rookie team.

JADE MEIER | SR | F | FAIRBANKS, ALASKA

After a historic regular season, Meier becomes the first student-athlete in Endicott women's ice hockey history to garner Player of the Year honors. Meier currently leads the team in points (37), and assists (25), ranks third in goals (12), and third in game-winning-goals (3).

Out of all CHC student-athletes, Meier ranks first in points (37), and first in assists (25), tied for first in plus minus (+21), and tied for third in goals (12).

Nationally, the senior forward ranks tied for first in assists per game (1.00), and 10th in points per game (1.48)

In addition to her historic regular-season, Meier became Endicott's all-time leader in assists (61), set the single season record for points (37), and surpassed 100 career games.

ALYSSA PETERSON | SR | G | CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA.

Peterson becomes the second student-athlete in program history to earn Goaltender of the Year honors.

The senior netminder led the CHC in goals against average, (1.20), save percentage (.955), win percentage (.882), total goals against (20), and was tied for first in wins (15).

Nationwide, Peterson ranked fifth in save percentage (.955), fifth in winning percentage (.882), tied for fourth in shutouts (6) and 11th in goals against average (1.20).

In addition to her stellar numbers, Peterson had 20 or more saves in 10 games, 30 or more saves in four games and set a career-high for saves, 43 on January 4, 2020. 

JILLIAN GIBBS | SR | F | BURLINGTON, VT.

Gibbs received her fourth straight All-CHC honor and second All-CHC First Team honor in 2019-20.

Gibbs currently leads the team in goals (15), is second on the team in points (31), second in power play goals (7), tied for second in game-winning-goals (3), and is third on the team in assists (16). She also ranks tied for first in plus minus (+21).

In the CHC, Gibbs ranks first in goals (15), second in points (31), second in power play goals (7), is tied for second in game-winning goals (3), and third in assists (16).

Nationally, Gibbs ranked tied for sixth in power play goals (7).

Meanwhile, during the regular season campaign, Gibbs became the first student-athlete in program history to surpass 100 career points, became the program's all-time leader in points (106), was the first student-athlete to score 50 career goals, and surpassed the 100 career games mark.

MADISON HUBER | SR | D | PITTSBURGH, PA.

Huber finds her name on the All-CHC page for the first time in her career with the announcement from the league office today.

The senior defender played a critical role on the Endicott blue line which ranked first in the CHC in goals against (29), and goals against average (1.16).

Huber also led a Gulls' defense which ranked eighth nationally in scoring defense (1.16).

Individually, Huber also set career highs in points (10), and assists (8) as well as tying a career high in goals (2).

MICHAELA MCNAMARA | SR | F | WARWICK, R.I.

McNamara played in every contest this season for the Gulls, earning her first All-CHC nod.

McNamara ranked third on the team in points (30), second on the team in assists (21), and fifth on the team in goals (9), all of which are career highs for the senior forward.

In the CHC, McNamara was second in assists (21), third in points (30), and was tied for third in power play goals (4).

Meanwhile, nationally, she was tied for 12th in assists per game (0.84).

COURTNEY SULLIVAN | SO | F | NORTH YARMOUTH, MAINE

After a season where she was named CHC Rookie of the Year, and to the All-CHC Rookie Team, Sullivan backed that up with an impressive sophomore campaign.

The second-year forward was tied for first on the team in plus minus (+21), second on the team in goals (14), and was fourth on the team in points (25) and assists (11), all of which served as career highs. 

Sullivan also led the CHC in power play goals (8), was second in goals (14), was fourth in points (25), and was tied for seventh in assists (11).

Nationally, she ranked tied for third in power play goals (8).

LAUREN FERRAIUOLO | JR | D | NORTH HAVEN, CONN.

Ferraiuolo has earned her second straight All-CHC nod in 2019-20.

The junior defender registered three goals, all of which came on the power play and eight assists during the 2019-20 regular season.

Out of all CHC defensemen, she ranked first in plus minus (+21), second in power play goals (3), fifth in assists (8), and fifth in points (11).

Ferraiuolo played a critical role in the Gulls defense which ranked first in the CHC in goals against (29), and first in goals against average (1.16), along with No. 8 national ranking in scoring defense (1.16).

KAYLEE LIBERTY | FR | F | ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILL.

Liberty had an impressive rookie campaign for the Gulls in 2019-20.

The freshman forward led all Endicott freshmen in points (11), and was second in goals (4) and assists (7).

MADISON HENTOSH | FR | D | PEABODY, MASS.

Hentosh was a critical member of the Endicott blue line during her freshman year.

Hentosh played a big role on the Gulls defense which ranked first in the CHC in goals against (29) and goals against average (1.16), along with No. 8 nationally in scoring defense (1.16).

The freshman defender led all Endicott first-years in assists (9) and ranked second in points (9).

Meanwhile, Hentosh was tied for third among all CHC defensemen in plus minus, (+10), and ranked third in assists (9).

ANDREW MCPHEE | COACH OF THE YEAR

For the second year in a row, and third time in four seasons, McPhee has been named CHC Coach of the Year.

McPhee led the team to program records in overall wins (23) and conference victories (16).

Under his leadership, in the CHC, the Gulls ranked first in goals (87), goals allowed (29), power play percentage (31%), penalty kill percentage (93.8%), goals per game (3.48), and goals against average (1.16).

Nationally, Endicott ranked first on the power play (31.0%), second in team winning percentage (.920), fourth in combined special teams (58.9%), fifth on the penalty kill (93.8%), eighth in scoring defense (1.16), ninth in scoring margin (2.32), and 10th in scoring offense (3.48).

WHAT'S NEXT

No. 9 Endicott (23-2-0, 16-0-0 CHC) will host the winner of fifth-seeded Becker and fourth-seeded Salve Regina in the semi-final round of the CHC Tournament on Saturday, February 29 at 4 PM.
