CHC WEEKLY AWARDS RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's ice hockey student-athletes Jillian Gibbs (Burlington, Vt.) and Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.) have earned Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) Player of the Week and Goaltender of the Week respectively, the league office announced earlier today.

Gibbs rattled off three points (two goals one assist) in a key home-and-home series with the University of New England this past weekend. Gibbs tallied a power play goal in Friday's 3-0 victory over the Nor'easters then turned around to score the game-tying goal and assist on the game-winner as The Gulls defeated UNE 2-1, to finish the regular season a perfect 16-0-0 in league play.

The senior forward's two goals this weekend catapulted her to the top of the CHC in goals as she finished the regular season with 15.

Peterson played all 120 minutes in net this weekend for Endicott. She posted a 17-save shutout on Friday night, her sixth of the season, and then turned around to make 26 saves including 12 in the third period alone in Saturday's 2-1 triumph over UNE.

The senior netminder finished the regular season leading the CHC in goals-against-average (1.20), save percentage (.955), and win percentage (.882).
