BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 9 nationally ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team shut out Nichols College, 5-0, in conference action on Saturday afternoon at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.
In a pre-game ceremony prior to the matchup, seniors Emma McDowell (Alexandria, Va.), Madison Huber (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Michaela McNamara (Warwick, R.I.), Jade Meier (Fairbanks, Alaska), Jillian Gibbs (Burlington, Vt.), Nicole Demers (Avon, Conn.), and Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.) were all honored for their contributions towards the women's ice hockey program and the Endicott College community.
The 2020 Senior Class has led the Gulls to an 81-17-7 (.805) overall record, a 42-5-3 (.870) conference record, two Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) regular season titles, one CHC Championship, and an NCAA Tournament first round appearance over their respective four-year careers, to date.
As for the game, Endicott received a pair of goals from Meaghan Francis (Woodbridge, Conn.) and solo tallies via Lauren Ferraiuolo (North Haven, Conn.), McNamara, and Jacy Kuhlman (Severna Park, Md.) in the win.
Meanwhile, in goal, Peterson shined on Senior Day as she recorded her fifth shutout of the season on 24 saves.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 9-2-0 all-time against Nichols (five shutouts).
- Peterson is 13-2-0 overall in goal this season. Her 13 wins rank tied for second all-time in a single-season.
- The Gulls improved to 12-1-0 at home with today's victory.
- The 12 home wins this season are a program-best (previous record: 11-1-1 set in 18-19 and 16-17).
- Francis registered her first career multi-goal game.
- Francis also dished out an assist to collect a single-game career-high three points on the day.
- Ferraiuolo had a single-game career-high three points via one goal and two assists.
- Huber and Tabitha Franceschini (Brick, N.J.) both dished out a single-game career-high two assists.
- Their two points on the day are also a single-game career-high.
- Meier pushed her single-season assists record to 24 with a helper on McNamara's goal.

No. 9 Endicott (21-2-0, 14-0-0 CHC) hosts the University of New England on Friday, February 21 at 7:15 PM. Nichols (6-14-3, 5-8-1 CHC) travels to Salve Regina next Friday at 7 PM.
