No. 9 Women’s Ice Hockey Downs Nichols, 5-1

HARRISVILLE, R.I. – The No. 9 nationally ranked women's ice hockey team defeated Nichols College, 5-1, in conference action on Friday night at Levy Rink.

Trailing 1-0 after the first period, Endicott answered Nichols with two goals in the second period and three more in the third to extend its winning streak to eight straight games.

The Gulls received goals from Michaela McNamara (Warwick, R.I.), Jillian Gibbs (Burlington, Vt.), Jade Meier (Fairbanks, Alaska), Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Maine), and Ashlie Jones (Billerica, Mass.).

Meanwhile, Michaela O'Brien (Pembroke, Mass.) made 22 saves to improve to 5-0-0 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott improved to 8-2-0 all-time against Nichols.
  • The Gulls have won four straight versus the Bison.
  • Endicott is 9-1-0 on the road this season.
  • Today's win gives the Gulls their second 20-win season in program history.
  • The all-time record for wins is 22, which was set during the 2016-17 season.
