BIDDEFORD, Maine. – The No. 10 nationally-ranked Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated The University of New England, 2-1, on Friday night, at Harold Alfond Forum.
Madison Huber (Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored her first goal of the season on the powerplay at 14:30 of the first frame to give the Gulls a 1-0 lead.
Then, Jade Meier (Fairbanks, Alaska) notched her seventh goal of the season, giving the Gulls a 2-0 lead at 5:48 of the second period.
Meanwhile, Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.) made 16 saves to improve to 8-2-0 on the season.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Gulls now have a 3-1 advantage in the all-time series over UNE.
- Meier now has eight points in the last seven games.
- Huber's goal was her first since Jan. 14 2019 (2-2 tie vs No. 4 Norwich)
- Madison Hentosh (Peabody, Mass.), Morgan Sisson (Concord, N.H.), Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.), and Alexa Pretkelis (Crystal Lake, Ill.) all earned assists tonight for Endicott.
