Endicott Battles Past Stevenson, 2-0

REISTERSTOWN, Md. — The Endicott women's ice hockey team defeated Stevenson, 2-0 on Saturday evening at Reisterstown Sportsplex. 

After a scoreless first and second period, the Gulls buried two goals in a span of just 52 seconds in the third period to secure the victory. 

Ashlie Jones (Billerica, Mass.) opened the scoring for the Gulls on the powerplay with her fourth goal of the season, while Kat Keith (Westwood, Mass.) notched her third goal of the season to put Endicott up, 2-0. 

Meanwhile, Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.) earned her second straight shutout saving 19 shots to move to 5-1-0 on the season. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Endicott now leads the all-time series over Stevenson 6-2-1.
  • Michaela McNamara (Warwick, R.I.), Jade Meier (Fairbanks, Alaska), and Jacy Kuhlman (Severna Park, Md.) all notched assists for the Gulls. 
  • Meier now has a point in 10 out of 11 games so far this season. 
  • The Gulls have now won six games in a row.

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (8-1) and Stevenson (4-4-2) will face off again tomorrow, Sunday, December 8 at 2 PM. Tomorrow's contest will serve as a charity game for the Laughlin Family Foundation, to donate and learn more about the Laughlin Family Foundation mission visit here
