Endicott Falls, 3-0, To No. 7/8 Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team traveled to No. 7/8 Middlebury for a nonconference contest where the Gulls were handed a 3-0 loss.

Middlebury took a 1-0 lead at the 16:14 mark of the first period on a powerplay tally from Eva Hendrickson (Edina, Minn.)

The Panthers then doubled that lead in the second period when Jenna Letterie (Winthrop, Mass.) found the back of the net with less than two minutes remaining in the frame.

Letterie netted her second goal of the contest at 19:46 of the third period to secure the 3-0 win for Middlebury.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Vendela Jonsson (Linkoping, Sweden) got the start in net for the Gulls and recorded 25 saves.
  • Lin Han (Toronto, Ontario) made 19 stops for the Panthers to record her second shutout of the season. 
  • Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Maine) led the Endicott offense with three shots on goal. 
  • Middlebury held a 28-19 shot advantage throughout the game.

Endicott (8-3-3) hosts No. 4/5 Norwich on Monday, January 14 at 6:15 PM. No. 7/8 Middlebury (7-1-3) hosts UMass Boston at 3 PM on Saturday, January 12.
