Endicott Nets 5-0 Shutout Victory Over Stevenson

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's ice hockey team hosted Stevenson University on Friday evening and posted a 5-0 shutout victory. 

Courtney Sullivan (North Yarmouth, Maine) got the Gulls on the board in the first period at 13:49 and then netted her second goal of the game at the 2:26 mark of the second frame. 

Lexi Klein (Shoreview, Minn.) gave the Gulls the 3-0 lead just over five minutes into the final frame and Mackenzie Mallett (York, Maine) tallied her first career goal five minutes later. Rounding out the scoring was Jillian Gibbs (Burlington, Vt.) with less than three minutes remaining in regulation.

Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.) recorded 10 saves in between the pipes to secure her fourth shutout win of the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Earning assists throughout the night were Ashlie Jones (Billerica, Mass.), Madison Huber (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Nicole Demers (Avon, Conn.), Lauren Ferraiuolo (North Haven, Conn.), Klein, Sullivan, and Mallett.
  • The Gulls held a 51-10 shot advantage. 
  • Annie Smyth-Hammond (Marstons Mills, Mass.) recorded a season-high 46 saves during the loss. 
  • Endicott is now 5-2-1 all-time against Stevenson and has won the last five contests.

Endicott (6-2-2) and Stevenson (3-7-1) meet again on Saturday, December 8 at 2 PM.
