Morrisville State Tops Women’s Ice Hockey On Senior Day, 2-0

BEVERLY, Mass. - The Endicott women's ice hockey team lost to Morrisville State, 2-0, on Saturday evening in a conference matchup at Raymond J. Bourque Arena on Senior Day.

Prior to the game, Endicott seniors Maggie Layo (Sandwich, Mass.) and Alicia Steeves (Chelmsford, Mass.) were honored for their contributions towards the program and the Endicott community.

Mustangs' goaltender Karoline Arvik (Trondheim, Norway) was the difference as the freshman net minder recorded 39 saves - including a game-high 18 in the second period - to aid the visitors to the win.

Tied 0-0 in the second, Morrisville State broke up the shutout with a goal from Kylie Cameron (Burlington, Ontario) at the 4:06 mark on a feed from Chyne Kennedy (Southwold, Ontario).

The Mustangs added the all-important insurance goal at 18:46 of the third via Ciara Lark's (Mildmway, Ontario) first tally of the season. Cameron and Maria deWilde (Caistorville, Ontario) were credited with assists on the goal.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Morrisville State now holds a 4-3-1 advantage in the all-time series after today's victory.
  • The Mustangs are 7-2-2 on the road this season and have won four games in a row.
  • Layo won a game-high 10 faceoffs.
