CHC WEEKLY AWARDS RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott women's ice hockey student-athletes Jillian Gibbs (Burlington, Vt.) and Vendela Jonsson (Linkoping, Sweden) have both earned weekly awards from the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) for their efforts in games played from January 23-29. Gibbs was named the CHC Player of the Week, while Jonsson claimed Goaltender of the Week accolades.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Gibbs fueled Endicott's offense in a pivotal 2-0-0 week by tallying four points on three goals and one assist in league action. In the Gulls' 4-0 win over SUNY Canton on Friday, Gibbs registered two goals, then on Saturday she notched the overtime game-winner with 2:51 remaining in the extra session. Gibbs also assisted on Endicott's first goal of the game, which helped sparked the comeback effort.

GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK

Jonsson recorded her 12th career shutout in her only start on the week as the sophomore goaltender blanked SUNY Canton in a 4-0 win with 28 saves.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (17-2-1, 8-0-0 CHC) travels to Morrisville State next Friday and Saturday for a pair of league games at 4 PM and 2 PM, respectively.
